A step-by-step breakdown of the typical MHT-CET admission process based on previous years' schedules. Know exactly what comes next.
Students appear for the MHT-CET entrance examination. This is the foundational step for engineering admissions in Maharashtra.
The CET Cell officially declares the MHT-CET results. You will receive your exact percentile and scorecard.
Registration opens on the official portal. Students must fill out their application and physically or e-scrutinize their documents at Facilitation Centers (FC).
The provisional state and category-wise merit numbers are published. Students get a 2-3 day window to raise grievances if there are any discrepancies in their data.
The definitive Final Merit List is released alongside the Seat Matrix (which details exactly how many seats are available in each college per category).
Students submit their Option Form (college preferences). The allotment is released. If allotted your 1st preference, you must freeze and report to the college. Otherwise, you can opt for betterment.
Subsequent rounds for students seeking betterment or those who were not allotted seats in Round 1. New option forms can be submitted for each round.
After all CAP rounds, any vacant seats are surrendered to the respective colleges. Colleges conduct their own spot rounds at the institute level to fill these seats.
